
The Women's Conference Soccer League (WCSL) competition completed their normal round games on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, after ten weeks of intense battle in the Southern, Northern, Highlands and New Guinea Islands Regions, and are now preparing to stage the quarterfinals on Saturday, February 1st, 2025.
During the final game of the round 10 triple-header fixtures (Southern Region), the Allies FC smashed the Bernice FC with an 11-3 win, while the undefeated Hekari United FC posted a comprehensive 14-0 victory over the hapless Tarangau FC, and the POM Souths FC cruised past the PRK Mungkas FC with a 5-1 win.
The reigning champions, Hekari United FC, flexed their championship pedigree and maintained the pole position since the opening round of the WCSL competition and concluded the regular season with a perfect winning streak record over the weekend, anticipating to defend their title.
In the Southern Region quarterfinal clash on Saturday, February 1st, the formidable Hekari side will meet the determined Allies FC, while the six qualifying teams from Northern, Highlands and NGI Regions will host their quarterfinal games at their respective venues on the same date.
The winner of Hekari and Allies (Southern Region) will play the winner of NGI, while the winner of Northern will face the winner of Highlands. The semi-final games will be played next Wednesday (February 5th), with the grand final slated on Saturday, February 8th, at PNG Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
