The National Capital District Volleyball Association (NCDVA) is officially set to return to the court this weekend.
Association President Wally Irau has confirmed that the 2026 competition will resume this Saturday, February 14th, at Taurama Aquatic Indoor Centre (TAIC).
Reflecting on a successful 2025 campaign, president Irau thanked the NCDVA family for the smooth finish of the previous year and invited both old clubs and new teams to carry that momentum into the new season.
The 2026 calendar will kick off with a condensed three-week pre-season tournament. The primary goal of these opening weeks is to foster community spirit and assist clubs in organizing their rosters into their respective divisions before the proper season begins.
Currently, 12 teams from six confirmed clubs are slated to participate, with two additional club slots still available. The confirmed lineup includes Jugu, Eka Kereibua, Matala, Vailima, Phoenix, and Kaugera Isapea.
Irau said that the cash prizes would be awarded during the pre-season, adding to the excitement of the "keep the ball flying" campaign.
While the specific prize amounts have yet to be finalized, the president assured the clubs that an update would be provided shortly.
"I am kindly asking all our good clubs to come along. Let’s have fun together and keep the ball flying in the air for 2026,” he said.
