Premier Soccer League to start in May

The PNG Football Association (PNGFA) Competition Department has announced that ten franchise clubs have been officially registered and cleared to participate in the 2026 Premier Soccer League season, which is scheduled to kick off next month.
All participating clubs have successfully met the mandatory regulatory requirements, completing full compliance with registration through the payment of the Expression of Interest (EOI) non-refundable fee of K20,000 and the K130,000 affiliation fee, totaling K150,000 per club.
The confirmed clubs for the 2026 season are as follows:
Gulf Komara FC
Agmark FC Morobe Wawens
Lae City FC
PNG Hekari FC
Port Moresby Strikers FC
Kula FC
Admiralty Islands FC
Madang FC
WAWA FC
NCD FC
With the roster of clubs now finalized and financially cleared, the competition department is in the final stages of preparing the official season draw and match-day operations ahead of kickoff.
PNGFA Chief Operating Officer Stanley Khanna commended the efforts of the competition department.
“Congratulations and job well done on your diligent collaboration with the franchise clubs in fulfilling their obligations,” he said.
“As we approach kickoff, we invite fans across the country and our valued sponsors to be part of what promises to be an exciting season.
“The Premier Soccer League continues to grow as a platform for talent, community pride, and partnership, and we look forward to delivering a competition that everyone can be proud of.”
The league is set to deliver an exciting and highly competitive season, showcasing the best of Papua New Guinea football and providing a strong platform for clubs, players, and supporters nationwide.
