NCD Touch Launched 2025 Season

The National Capital District (NCD) Touch officially launched its 2025 season on Sunday, March 30th, at the Sir John Guise Multi-purpose Oval.
A couple of games were played after the launching, with the competition going in full swing on Wednesday night (April 2nd) and will continue on Sunday, April 6th.
The preseason has been a success after three exciting rounds of touch footy, which ended last Sunday, March 23rd, 2025.
Most teams that will be participating in the NCD Touch this season are from last season, while a few newcomers have joined the competition this year.
President Nelson Kopunye expressed his appreciation to the teams and acknowledged the major sponsor of NCD Touch, the National Capital District Commission (NCDC), through Governor Powes Parkop.
“On behalf of the NCD Touch Executive and all the participating teams, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Hon. Powes Parkop, Governor of NCD, for his generous Platinum Sponsorship of the 2025 NCD Touch competition,” Kopunye said.
“A big thank you to all the teams that participated. For those who could not make it due to not receiving the draws, we sincerely apologise and look forward to seeing you in the upcoming rounds.”
Mr. Kopunye congratulated the old teams and welcomed the new teams, mentioning that with the guidance and support from his executives, they are aiming to deliver a memorable and successful season.
