Juggernauts demolish Novettes to book Big Dance

ree

The Chemcare Juggernauts were ruthless, delivering a clinical 24-0 win over the Novettes in the Niu Power Capital Rugby Union Women’s Open Division Grand Final Qualifier on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, at Bava Park.

Wrapping up the regular season at the top of the table and clinching the minor premiership, the Juggernauts lived up to their name and ran rings around the second-placed Novettes, securing a comfortable win to qualify for the grand final on September 6th.

The women in pink led the contest at the interval with a 12-0 margin and picked up their rhythm in the second spell, dominating the hapless Novettes to bag a commanding 24-0 victory and advance to the decider.

Despite losing to the Juggernauts, the Novettes have one more chance to prove their worth against the Supreme Industries Harlequins, who defeated the Kramer APAC Sisters in the semi-final clash.

The Sisters bowed out of the race, while the Harlequins survived to meet the desperate Novettes in the preliminary final this weekend, with the winner to face the Juggernauts in the big dance.

Harlequins, who are the women’s seasoned finals’ contenders, will be looking to reclaim the title after losing it to the University Piggies last year, while the resurgent Juggernauts remain optimistic about winning their maiden premiership.
