ECFC receives help from Kina Bank

The East Coast Football Club (ECFC) has received K70,000 from Kina Bank to assist with travel expenses for an Under-13 team traveling to Melbourne, Australia, to participate in the Diamond League Tournament.

The cheque presentation took place at Sir John Guise Stadium on Wednesday, November 22.

ECFC Managing Director & President Shannon Andrew said that the funds will be used for the travel expenses, as well as to support the club’s 2023-2024 ECFC School Soccer Carnival and Academy Program.

“We are very grateful for Kina Bank’s support as this will go a long way to further assist our School Soccer Carnival & Academy Program as well as give our Under-13 team a boost as we prepare them for the Diamond League Tournament in Melbourne,” Mr. Andrew said.

He also stated that the sponsorship will be a boost to achieve the club’s vision, to develop junior soccer in the country and showcase young talents internationally.

Kina Bank PNG CEO Roppe Uyassi stated that Kina Bank was happy to support the club as the Platinum Partner to help develop junior soccer talents in PNG and showcase them on international levels.

“Kina Bank is a strong advocate for the development of children and youth through education and sports and is proud to support the East Coast Football Club, which reflects our commitment to the development of children and youth in Papua New Guinea,” Mr. Uyassi said.
