PNGFA Confirms Women’s Conference Soccer League 2026 Season

The Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) is pleased to confirm the official framework and participation requirements for the Women’s Conference Soccer League 2026 season, following endorsement by the PNGFA Executive Committee (EXCO).
The Women’s Conference Soccer League continues to play a critical role in advancing women’s football across the country, providing structured, competitive opportunities for clubs and athletes at the regional level.
PNGFA is now inviting all interested clubs to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) and complete the necessary registration requirements ahead of the new season.
Competition Overview
The 2026 Women’s Conference Soccer League will be delivered in a Conference League format (home and away), with matches hosted across key football centres, including:
• Port Moresby
• Lae
• Kimbe
• Mt Hagen
Each conference will feature a maximum of six teams, ensuring a competitive and well-structured season across all regions.
Registration Fees & Requirements
• Expression of Interest (EOI): K2,000 (non-refundable)
• Affiliation Fee: K2,400
• Player Registration Fee: K20 per player
• Maximum 30 players per team
• Total payment per club: K5,000
All clubs are required to complete full payment prior to the commencement of the competition.
Important Dates
• EOI Submission Deadline: 5:00pm (COB), Tuesday, 31 March 2026
• Full Affiliation & Player Registration Payment Deadline: Friday, 10 April 2026
Club Compliance Requirements
To be eligible for participation, all clubs must meet the following criteria:
• Be registered as a company
• Be registered with the Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) and provide certification
• Be registered with IRC/Tax
• Provide a valid Club Insurance Certificate
• Maintain an active bank account

All payments must be deposited directly into the PNGFA account:

Proof of payment must be emailed to the PNGFA Competitions Department together with the completed EOI form.
PNGFA remains committed to strengthening women’s football nationwide, with the Conference League serving as a key platform for talent identification, development, and progression into national teams and elite competitions.
Clubs are encouraged to complete their registration requirements within the stipulated timelines to secure their participation in the 2026 PSL season.
