The Papua New Guinea men’s and women’s rugby sevens teams have dominated the Pacific Games, winning their respective two games in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
PNG women thrashed Nauru with a scoreline of 31-0 today (Friday, November 24th), at the National Football Stadium.
Yesterday (Thursday, November 23rd), they opened their campaign strongly, smashing the American Samoa with a 35-0 full-time score.
Meanwhile, the men also had similar winning streaks. They started their game on a positive note, thumping Wallis and Futuna 35-0.
Today (Friday, November 24th), after a tight contest, they beat the host nation, Solomon Islands, 21-10.
The women take on Tonga later today, while the men stand-by for the quarter finals.
