PNG Bilums Book Big Dance

The PNG Bilums have secured their place in the Grand Final after defeating American Samoa in the OFC Qualifiers FIFA World Cup 2027 Women’s Semifinal today (April 11th) at Waikato Stadium, New Zealand.

With PNG and American Samoa eyeing the grand final spot, both sides rose to the challenge and left everything on the pitch. Just before halftime, Keren Kalapai scored the opening goal and put PNG in front.

The second half turned into a slugfest as both sides strutted their stuff. A couple of chances went begging for either team, with PNG defending their lead to edge out the resilient American Samoa. 

PNG will meet the winner of New Zealand and Fiji in the decider, with the second semifinal match underway in Hamilton.
