Kula FC stun Lae City FC

Kula FC defied the odds and upset the undefeated Lae City FC with a 3-1 win in Round 11 of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) on Saturday, 4 July 2026, at Eleven Mile Academy in Lae, Morobe Province. 

Facing the unbeaten Lae City FC was an insurmountable task for Kula FC. However, the Milne Bay men entered the field with confidence and produced the biggest upset by shocking the invincible Morobeans with a gutsy victory.

Playing in Lae City FC’s fortress, the visiting Kula FC put on a show in the first half, scoring 2 goals and taking the competition leaders off guard.

The Lae City flagship team attempted to steal the win in the second half but fell short, with Kula adding their third goal and the home side scoring a consolation goal.

The gallant victory against the competition’s heavyweights was a major boost for the “Size 28” club as PSL heads for a short break. Round 2 will resume next week.
