The Hekari United FC women’s team mercilessly thumped the MadWest FC with a comprehensive 14-0 win in the Women’s National Conference Soccer League (WNCSL) Semifinal match yesterday (10th December 2025) at PNG Football Stadium, Port Moresby.
The defending champions (Hekari) went on a fiery start in the early proceedings, running rings around the hapless MadWest side and effortlessly netting 7 goals to lead the contest comfortably at the interval.
Undone with the biggest lead, the red-hot MRDC-backed franchise continued their absolute dominance in the second spell and registered 7 additional goals, bringing the champions of NGI (MadWest) to submission.
Hekari’s pacey attack, ball movement, team coordination, and impregnable defence left Kimbe’s MadWest girls gasping for air in the one-way traffic contest, making them search for answers to contain the Red Army girls’ onslaught.
Coach Erickson Komeng said he was impressed with the team’s clinical performance, expecting the girls to maintain their rhythm in the grand final and complete their mission.
Moreover, the Women’s National Conference Soccer League (WNCSL) Grand Final will be hosted alongside the U18 Women’s National Youth Soccer League (WNYSL) on Saturday, 13th December 2025, at PNG Football Stadium.
The Hekari Football Academy will meet Bernice FC in the U18 WNYSL final, followed by the match between Hekari United FC and Lae City Dwellers in the WNCSL decider.
On Sunday, 14th December, Hekari United FC and Lae City will compete for the third spot, while the Gulf Komara FC and FC Morobe Wawens face off in the PSL Grand Final to wrap up all PNGFA-sanctioned competitions for season 2025.
