Cassowaries Claim 2025 ISUZU Men’s T20 SMASH

The Cassowaries men’s team were on fire, lifting the ISUZU Men’s T20 SMASH trophy, after a thrilling showdown against the Black Bass at Amini Park in Port Moresby on Saturday, May 17th, 2025.
Proudly sponsored by Boroko Motors, the ISUZU T20 SMASH continues to provide a competitive and high-performance platform for emerging cricket talent across the country.
This year’s competition saw the Black Bass, Cassowaries, Mariners, and Mudmen battle it out in front of the cricket fans in Port Moresby.
In the grand final, the Cassowaries men chased down the target of 121 runs, scoring 121/7 in 19.3 overs to defeat the Black Bass men by 3 wickets.

Emmanuel Karo (26) was named player of the match. Top scorers for the Cassowaries included Peter Karoho (29), Dauncey Tom (24), while Oala Puka Jnr impressed with the ball for Black Bass, claiming 3 wickets for 18 runs.
