Both sides started the game at a slow pace. Goal-scoring opportunities were created, but no team
managed to find the net in the opening 20 minutes. After several attempts, Ramona Padio opened
up the game with a goal in the 30th minute. With 3 minutes remaining before the half-time break, the mid-fielder bagged her second goal to give her side a handy 2-0 lead over the Strikers.
In the second half, it was a one-way traffic contest. The red-army maintained the momentum, piling on 6 unanswered goals to blow the struggling Strikers off the park with a comprehensive 8-0 scoreline. Of the 8 goals scored, Ramona Padio snatched 5 goals, while 2 goals came from the boots of captain courageous, Marie Kaipu, and 1 goal was scored by the substitute player from the bench.
The ever-reliable sweeper, Ramona Padio was instrumental in her team’s clinical performance. Padio’s dribbling skills, passing tactics, and the way she controlled the ball in the middle were sublime to watch. She held her composure and played with ease, delivering a mesmerizing performance. Her overall game awareness was top-notch. It was Padio’s show.
