Hull FC confident in Rimbu

The Hull FC, an English-based rugby league club playing in the Super League competition, have signed PNG Kumuls and PNG Hunters rake, Judah Rimbu, for the 2025 season in their move to strengthen the club for next season. They stated that they were confident in Rimbu as the man to take them forward next year.

Rimbu has been recruited for the hooker position as one of Hull's key areas for their ongoing recruitment drive, with the club hooker, Danny Houghton, set to retire at the end of this season.

The 22-year-old has been selected after an extensive search by Hull for his outstanding performances recently in being one of the best running dummy halves.

Rimbu has played 58 games for the Queensland Cup outfit (PNG Hunters), scoring 11 tries, 6 from this year. He had also been instrumental for the Kumuls during the Pacific Championship in 2023. He also had a short training with the Dolphins in the NRL, which convinced Hull to take him on board.

Additionally, the Kumuls and Brisbane Tigers fullback, Treigh Steward, has also been signed to an 18-month contract by Hull FC and is bound to join his new team later this month.
