Barras did it again while Kariko took his first T20I bat and run

The host nation, PNG Barramundis is keeping their winning stride at a hearty pace. They won Vanuatu again in their 4th match of the EAP Qualifier Final yesterday by 39 runs at Amini Park, Port Moresby. It was a significant moment for young bowler, John Kariko, as he did his first Twenty20 International (T20I) bat and run alongside senior Charles Amini, completing their first innings with 148/7 and 20 overs.

“We believe and have set 140 as a suitable target for them to bat. I am really happy with how the batters and bowlers have done so far,” said Barramundis Captain Assadollah Valla, despite losing 20 runs.

Captain Valla also said that it will all depend on the game situation and how they will go in their match against the Philippines tomorrow.

“We are taking it one game at a time,” said Valla.

Meanwhile, the most outstanding player-taking out man of the match was bowler Norman Vanua.

Barras have their rest day today and will play Philippines tomorrow in their 5th match of this tourney. They hope for another successful batting order on Friday.
