Agmark 9s Cup Tri-Series set for Final Leg

The 2026 Agmark Nines Cup Tri-Series concluded its first and second legs successfully, gearing up to host the final leg this weekend at Queen Elizabeth Park in Rabaul, East New Britain Province.

Debutants, Rabaul Marist, claimed the opening leg of the tri-series tournament after upsetting the defending champions, Page Park Cowboys, with a hard-fought 8-4 margin last weekend.

In the second leg final over the weekend, the United Brothers clinched the title following a gritty 12-8 victory against West New Britain’s 15-Pirates.

The first and second legs were held at Kokopo’s Gelegele Sports Oval, with the final series to be hosted at Rabaul’s Queen Elizabeth Park.

Tournament Director Paul Joseph congratulated the winners of the first and second legs and thanked the participating teams and the fans for their support.

He also acknowledged Ngip Agmark Ltd for its continued sponsorship of the tournament and looks forward to staging the final leg this Saturday, January 31st.

The Agmark 9s Cup tri-series aims to provide a platform for local talents from Rabaul, Kokopo, and the wider East New Britain, recruiting the cream of the crop to the Agmark ENB Gurias in the Digicel-ExxonMobil Cup.
