Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League (PNGRFL) has announced to all interested local and
school leagues that affiliations with them will close on 31st May, 2023.
PNGRFL is urging local leagues to affiliate with them, following their new data system update.
They have installed the Mysideline Data System to capture club and player registration. This is
the same data system used by the National Rugby League (NRL).
League affiliations will record player profile, team and club registration, as well as competition
details.
Moreover, in preparation, the PNGRFL has already conducted information sessions in the past
two months with all confederates. They have received vital feedback from affiliates and
associates about the challenges of the league.
According to PNGRFL’s press statement, the purpose of the information sessions was to
educate and provide clarity on the requirements of leagues to those who had expressed interest
in affiliating with the PNGRFL.
It also stated that PNGRFL are pushing for full compliance of Affiliate and Associate Leagues.
Compliance from them is needed to uphold data into the newly installed PNGRFL MySideline.
